Connex is seeking a dedicated Quality Assurance and Systems Administrator to play a dual role within our team. This individual will oversee Quality Assurance (QA), with a focus on IVR and contact center solutions, as well as maintain and configure systems, particularly in MS Windows, Linux, and Virtual Machine (VM) environments. Strong troubleshooting skills and basic proficiency with SQL databases are essential. Experience with tools like Jira will be beneficial for tracking issues and coordinating with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Quality Assurance Testing (40%) 
  • Conduct QA testing on IVR and contact center solutions to verify system functionality and performance. 
  • Develop and execute test cases, ensuring thorough validation and documenting results. 
  • Collaborate with development teams to identify and resolve defects, ensuring high-quality software releases. 
  • Propose and implement improvements to QA processes for better efficiency and accuracy. 
  • Systems Administration & Configuration (35%) 
  • Manage the setup, configuration, and maintenance of MS Windows, Linux, and VM environments to support business operations. 
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any system or configuration issues during development, testing, or deployment phases. 
  • Ensure system stability and monitor performance, implementing preventive measures where necessary. 
  • Assist in system upgrades, patching, and overall server maintenance.
  • SQL Database Setup & Management (15%) 
  • Configure SQL databases as required for various projects, ensuring proper setup and functionality. 
  • Write and execute basic SQL queries to assist in troubleshooting and validating test data. 
  • Maintain database performance and ensure data integrity throughout the testing and development processes. 
  • Collaboration & Process Improvement (10%) 
  • Work closely with developers, engineers, and project managers to ensure seamless project execution. 
  • Use Jira for tracking issues, reporting bugs, and coordinating tasks across teams. 
  • Recommend process improvements for both QA testing and system administration to drive operational efficiency.

Desired Skills

  • Experience in QA testing, particularly in IVR and contact center environments.
  • Proficiency in MS Windows, Linux, and VM setup and configuration.
  • Basic knowledge of SQL for database setup and troubleshooting.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective team collaboration.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Familiarity with Jira for issue tracking and task management.
  • Must be local and available to work on-site twice a week.
