As an IVR Design and Development Lead, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and enhancing Interactive Voice Response (IVR) systems. You will work closely with various teams to gather requirements, document processes, and lead the development of IVR solutions that meet both business and technical requirements. This position requires a strong understanding of Java, CVP (Customer Voice Portal), and REST API integrations. The successful candidate will be responsible for mentoring junior developers, ensuring code quality, and supporting various testing phases to achieve successful deployments across multiple environments.

Responsibilities

  • Requirement Gathering and Documentation (25%)
  • Participate in requirement gathering sessions and document existing design and limitations.
  • Provide insights into the current IVR architecture and propose enhancements based on new requirements.
  • Update design documents on Confluence and ensure sign-off on the design from business stakeholders.
  • IVR Development and Integration (40%)
  • Integrate changes captured in the requirement package into the existing IVR design.
  • Develop and modify code in Java and implement CVP and REST API integrations to meet project requirements.
  • Mentor and guide junior developers throughout the development cycle.
  • Ensure that the code meets industry standards, performing regular code reviews and providing feedback.
  • Testing and Deployment Support (25%)
  • Support all phases of testing, including System Integration Testing (SIT), Business Acceptance Testing (BAT), Production Acceptance Testing (PAT), and Load/Soak Testing.
  • Ensure successful promotion of code to SIT server and deployment builds across all environments.
  • Collaborate with QA teams to ensure smooth testing cycles and address any issues or questions related to both new and existing designs.
  • Maintenance and Continuous Improvement (10%)
  • Update design documents to reflect changes related to project requirements.
  • Monitor and support IVR application performance post-deployment, ensuring successful operation in all environments.
  • Provide prompt resolution of issues raised during testing or in production.

Skills

  • Mandatory Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in IVR design and development, specifically with Java, CVP, and REST API integrations.
  • Proven experience in requirement gathering, documentation, and designing IVR solutions.
  • Strong experience in developing and integrating IVR applications, including hands-on coding.
  • Familiarity with deploying builds and promoting code through various testing environments.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Desirable Skills:
  • Experience with telephony platforms such as Genesys, Cisco, or other IVR solutions.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Microsoft Azure.
  • Familiarity with tools like Confluence, JIRA, and other collaboration platforms.
  • Experience in a leadership or mentoring role, guiding junior developers or cross-functional teams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot issues in complex environments.
