 We are seeking an experienced Genesys Cloud Engineer to design and execute data integrations within the Genesys Cloud platform, ensuring seamless integration with various systems. The role involves supporting deployment and configuration for clients, developing custom integrations using Genesys Cloud APIs and SDKs, and contributing to the creation of intelligent chatbots and virtual agents. Proficiency in programming languages like Java, Python, and JavaScript, along with hands-on experience with AWS Lambda, Azure, and other cloud technologies, is essential. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Genesys Cloud, demonstrate problem-solving skills, and be familiar with modern contact center technologies and DevOps tools.

Responsibilities

  • Design and execute data integrations between Genesys Cloud and various systems. 
  • Support the deployment and configuration of Genesys Cloud solutions for clients. 
  • Assist in developing custom integrations using Genesys Cloud APIs and SDKs to enhance system functionality. 
  • Develop foundational programming skills, covering both structured and object-oriented paradigms, using high-level languages like Python, Java, C/C++, Ruby, and JavaScript. 
  • Contribute to the creation and deployment of intelligent chatbots and virtual agents with Google Dialogflow/Lex, ensuring their smooth integration with the Genesys Cloud platform. 
  • Gain hands-on experience with AWS Lambda, Azure GitHub, Amazon S3, as well as Tomcat and Apache web engines. 
  • Demonstrate a proactive approach in identifying basic issues, performance considerations, and potential areas for improvement within a system. 
  • Apply systematic problem-solving skills, fostering effective communication and cultivating a sense of ownership and drive. 
  • Learn the debugging and optimization of code, with an introduction to automating routine tasks. 
  • Participate in the early stages of the service life cycle, assisting in inception, design, and contributing to ongoing refinement. 
  • Begin monitoring and measuring service health, including aspects like availability, latency, and overall system performance. 
  • Adhere to foundational incident response practices and contribute to collaborative post-mortems for continuous improvement. 

Desirable Skills 

  • Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in Genesys Cloud or related contact center technologies  
  • Strong understanding of the Genesys Cloud platform, including its architecture, features, and capabilities  
  • Proficient in programming languages such as Java, Python, and/or JavaScript. 
  • Experience with developing custom integrations using Genesys Cloud APIs and SDKs. 
  • Knowledge of modern contact center technologies and best practices. 
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills. 
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. 
  • Experience in working in or with Agile delivery teams.  
  • Nice to have: Familiarity with DevOps tools such as Git, Jenkins, and Docker. Experience with other contact center platforms such as Avaya, Cisco, or Twilio. Experience with real-time and historical reporting tools such as Tableau or Power BI  is also an asset.
